STIMULUS CHECK ALMOST ON THE WAY?

The recorded phone message is pretty straightforward, "You must update your account information now or else you won't get your stimulus check from us."

So Uncle Sam has taken the time to ring you and say that your records aren't complete and if you're ever going to get this years stimulus check... or your tax rebate... you've got to correct the record.

Except, Uncle Sam doesn't phone people, or email people asking for information. When the government wants information from you, there's no p[re-recorded message, there are no "Dear Valued Citizen" emails, there's good old fashioned snail mail with your name, address and other identifying information on official stationery and sent through official mail procedures.

Phone calls from the government about your stimulus check and emails from the government about your tax rebate are from scammers.

It's not the government, it's fraud.
